Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Telecommunications industry. Tasks: Install web server hardware and software. Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment. Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks. Troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade web server hardware and software. Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. Provide problem-solving services to network users. Supervision: No supervision responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Associate Computing Professional (ACP). Network+ Certification. Computer and technology knowledge: Networking software. Networking hardware.
