Job details
Education: Bachelor's degree. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Consulting engineering company. Building construction materials. Tasks: Act as project or site supervisor for land survey or construction work. Conduct site visits to gather relevant information . Conduct technical analyses of survey and field data for development of topographic, soil, hydrological or other information and prepare reports. Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements. Develop construction specifications and procedures. Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations. Establish and monitor construction work schedules. Interpret, review and approve survey and civil design work. Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects. Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association. Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association. Computer and technology knowledge: Cloud. Primavera. AutoCAD. MS Office. Project management software. Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB). SAP (FI/CO / HR / MM / OT SD). SharePoint. Autodesk REVIT. MS Excel. Area of work experience: Design. Environmental assessment. Construction specialization: Industrial, commercial and institutional. Residential construction. Municipal specialization: Sewers and sewage treatment. Industrial waste management.
