Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Discuss work with supervisor. Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions. Review work orders . Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems. Repair or replace mechanical units or components. Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements. Provide customer service. Apprenticeship training: Level one apprenticeship training. Area of specialization: Diesel engines. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
