We are looking for a energetic and enthusiastic craft beverage lover with extensive hospitality experience who is passionate, self-motivated and who will foster engaging experiences in our Beergarden and Beerhall. You are responsible for every facet of the front of house business for our Hamilton space. You will bring the Collective Arts energy, a creative mind, and the ability to think outside the box to the table. Additionally, we are looking for a people person who will lead by example and coach our current Beergarden and Beerhall team about all things hospitality. In this role you will be responsible for leading and planning small scale events. Finally, we are looking for someone who is organized and is able to report on and analyze sales, perform daily cash management and plan ahead.
*A typical day as Beergarden / Beerhall Manager includes:*
- Lead and motivate the front of house team, ensuring each staff member embodies the Collective Arts brand
- Provide ongoing coaching and training to direct reports on service standards, customer engagement, and Collective Arts product knowledge.
- Provide an engaging experience for customers to foster a welcoming, vibrant, and memorable atmosphere in our space
- Oversee our small-scale events program within the beer garden and beer hall, coordinating with the team to ensure smooth execution of events. You will be required to attend most events to ensure these events are run smoothly and to provide support where needed
- Work closely with the Spaces Leadership team as well as the Brand Creative team to ensure events align with Collective Arts? culture and objectives.
- Perform daily cash management duties and working with the Finance team to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliations
- Manage inventory levels for all products and ensure inventory is accurately tracked within our ERP system (Encompass)
- You will be responsible for all people management which includes scheduling, progressive discipline/coaching and training for the Beergarden / Beerhall team
*How your time will be organized:*
- *80%* Leading the team through service.
- *15%* Scheduling, cash management, inventory management, business operations needs
- *5%* People management outside of service hours, coaching, training
*We?re looking for candidates who:*
- Preferably a post secondary degree which specializes in hospitality, restaurant management or business-related field
- 2+ years of experience in restaurant management with financial aptitude for business operations
- Proven excellent customer service and building strong client relationships
- Hands-on management experience with strong leadership, management and coaching skills
*Bonus points if you:*
- Have worked in a scaling start-up or growing small-business environment
- Have managed large groups of young people
- Have restaurant leadership experience
- Know how to disassemble, clean and reassemble draught systems and parts
- Have formal beer training, (cicerone, prud?homme) or brewery work experience
