Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. Cold/refrigerated. Hot. Noisy. Outdoors. Wet/damp. Work setting: Rural area. Urban area. Commercial. Sidewalks and curbs. Tasks: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement. Operate power vibrators to compact concrete. Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification. Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools. Instruct apprentices. Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures. Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces. Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Type of materials: Hardners and epoxies. Light weight concrete. Type of product: Asphalt or concrete finishes. Construction specialization: Poured concrete. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence.
