Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Outdoors. Work setting: Construction. Renovation. Residential. Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair. Tasks: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Utilize hand and power tools. Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment. Supervision: Cladders/siding installers. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Cleaning experience: Siding and eavestroughs. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Excellent oral communication. Reliability. Team player. Values and ethics. Punctuality.
