The Ridge Meadows Child Development Centre is currently seeking a permanent part time 0.8 FTE (30.0 hr/week) Physical Therapist for our Early Intervention Team. We are a community-based agency providing early intervention services to children and families in the communities of Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, and Katzie First Nation. Our therapists work as part of an interdisciplinary team, following a community based, family centered model. We provide assessment, individual and group therapy, and consultation to children in our region from birth until school-entry, working collaboratively with other RMCDC-based therapists as well as various community agencies. We provide service in a variety of environments, including family homes, preschools/daycares, and the Centre itself. For more information visit our website at www.rmcdc.com.
*Qualifications:*
* Master's Degree or Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
* Active (full) registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
* Experience working with young children with a variety of abilities and their families
* Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
* Ability to form and maintain positive working relationships with families, colleagues and community partners
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Valid driver?s license and vehicle
* Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Practice and cultural safety practices an asset
*Job Summary*
As a Physical Therapist at our facility, you will play a crucial role in helping patients recover from injuries and illnesses through personalized treatment plans and exercises. Your expertise will contribute to improving patients' mobility and relieving pain.
*Duties*
- Evaluate patients' conditions and needs
- Develop personalized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques
*Requirements*
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Specialization or interest in Pediatrics or Acute Care is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient care
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $42.56-$52.95 per hour
