Job Description<p>Candidate will repair company equipment and building in a safe, timely, cost-effective and practical manner. The Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled worker in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all components of plant equipment.</p><p><b><span>Responsibilities:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Diagnose, build, rebuild, and repair all parts of equipment, mechanical, electrical systems.</p></li><li><p><span>Establish maintenance processes and procedures.</span></p></li><li><p>Perform repairs, including emergency repairs in the field.</p></li><li><p><span>Inspect buildings, equipment and systems for stability, quality and safety.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintain inventory</span> and order supplies and parts.</p></li><li><p><span>Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, building alarms and other building systems.</span></p></li><li><p>Execute gas and electric welding.</p></li><li><p><span>Maintain a safe and clean working environment.</span></p></li><li><p>Complete equipment maintenance records and ensure that preventative maintenance is complete</p></li><li><p>Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic systems, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.</p></li><li><p>Trouble shoot and perform failure analysis of component parts and systems on lift trucks, plant equipment or secondary component parts and systems</p></li><li><p>Welding and fabricating to repair and build plant equipment.</p></li><li><p>Plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry and pump rebuilding and repair.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Requirements: </span></b></p><ul><li><p>Valid driver?s license required.</p></li><li><p><span>Problem solving aptitude.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Manual dexterity and attention to detail.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to stand, kneel, sit, for long periods of time and lift up-to 50lbs.</span></p></li><li><p>Minimum 1-year experience in a mechanical role <span>with knowledge in hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, general carpentry and motors</span>.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge and understanding of <span>OHSA</span> rules and regulations as well as the proper handling of hazardous material.</p></li><li><p>Experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrate safety conscious behaviors ? <span>knowledge and experience with 5S considered an asset.</span></p></li><li><p>Ability to operate small hand tools, power tools, hand trucks, drill presses, grinders, conveyors, gas welding, brazing or cutting apparatus, and various other heavy equipment.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work in an environment that includes exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, noise level, and outside weather conditions.</p></li><li><p><span>Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and with the aid of a respirator when necessary.</span></p></li><li><p>Must be able to read precision instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, digital multi-meters and other electronic dia</p></li></ul>
