*Job Purpose:* The Catering Manager (CM) reports to the Habitat Exec Chef & the Truffles General Manager, the CM is responsible for the execution of high-quality events, daily operations of catering and cafe, leadership of staff, client and customer relations and other operations-based activities. Provide guidance and leadership in shaping the culinary team direction along with the Executive Chef.
*Job Responsibilities*
Ensures consistent guest service capacity.
Maintains quality in all operations through ensuring high quality team service standards and best practices.
Performs role as quality assurance leader in relations to food, beverage and guest service.
Supports and directs the Executive Chef in driving service results through hands-on leadership of the team to create lasting experiences.
Leads the service teams in the execution of events and provides positive interactions with guests, staff, venue partners and suppliers.
Supports all colleagues in their duties and provides flexibility in being hands-on within all aspects of operations.
Supports GM in planning and budgeting processes by providing top priorities in the areas of guest/customer experience, team quality, and sales & labour forecasting.
Ensures all cash handling policies, health and safety requirements, building and equipment maintenance standards are meeting company and government standards in all aspects of operational and team day to day execution.
Ensures daily accounting, cash handling, invoicing and banking are executed in a manner expected within the company.
Undertake ordering of alcoholic beverages and processing of invoices, inventory and month end processes
Review of event requirements with university and liaison of needs with culinary team.
Undertake event on behalf of Truffles Catering in support of their event execution.
Works with Executive Chef to recommend new products and services by identifying new opportunities, pricing, packaging, and process changes; surveying consumer needs and trends and tracking competitors in market place.
Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new operational and leadership processes, government regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and maintaining strong community and business relations.
Other duties as required and assigned.
Such other duties as are customarily performed by one holding the position of a Catering Service Manager in businesses that are similar to Truffles Catering and Habitat Food Services, and
Such other and unrelated duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Employer.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
