*Role Description*
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Paralegal (Real Estate) located in Calgary, AB. The Senior Real Estate Paralegal will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including but not limited to conducting due diligence, legal document preparation, arranging title insurance, drafting and reviewing documents, managing residential real estate transactions including purchases, new build purchases, sales, refinances and representing institutional and private lenders.
*The Successful Applicant will be responsible for handling real estate transactions from beginning to end, including:*
? Opening files and sending out introductory emails and intake forms
? Communicating with clients in regard to appointments and required documents.
? Creating real estate documents in Unity.
? Facilitating and completing both in-person and virtual signing appointments
? Communicating with realtors, bankers, and mortgage brokers as needed to complete the file.
? Coordinating the day of closing processes and final reporting.
? Arranging delivery of documents to Land Titles and other third parties, as required.
? Arranging couriers to opposing lawyers to deliver documents.
? Obtaining applicable searches and due diligence
? Maintaining calendars of important dates and deadlines
? Preparation of Accounting packages, including transactions with a high level of payouts and debt consolidation.
? Ensuring customers receive excellent customer service.
? Administrative support for Calgary office, reporting to firm?s Managing Law Clerk in Toronto
*Experience/Qualifications Required: *
? Alberta real estate transactions, including RPRs, Land Titles, etc.
? Experience acting on behalf of private lenders
? Experience with mortgage instructions from major lenders
? Experience with Protocol, Conventional and title insurance closings for resale transactions, new home purchases and new condo purchases.
? Knowledge of Unity software
? Familiarity with FCT's MMS portal
? Experience with Google Workspace including gmail, google docs, google sheets and google meets.
? Experience with Salesforce is an asset, but not required, training will be provided.
? Have good technical skills, including a complete knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
? Attention to detail is critical, especially in acting for the Lender in private financing transactions and complex debt consolidation transactions.
? Be able to handle a busy law practice
? Be mature, trustworthy, and a team player
? Be a good oral and written communicator

Pay: $45,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
