We have an open position for an assistant food services manager who is interested in leading a team in providing a unique European shopping experience, helping to hire and train other team members and modeling excellent customer service. You will assist in making sure the team adheres to company policies, resolving customer complaints, leading the team, and organizing the team schedule.
To be a great fit for this role you should have a consistent work history and a passion for customer service and team mentoring. Organization, communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Previous experience as a senior staff member, supervisor or assistant manager is an asset.
*Assistant Manager Responsibilities:*
* Maintaining flexibility to work within all departments in the store, as needed.
* Ensuring company policies are followed.
* Optimizing profits by controlling costs.
* Hiring, training, retaining and developing employees.
* Resolving customer issues to their overall satisfaction.
* Maintaining an overall management style that follows the current company culture.
* Providing leadership and direction to all employees.
* Ensuring product quality and availability.
* Preparing and presenting employee reviews under the direction of the general manager.
* Working closely with the general manager and ownership group to lead staff by example.
* Overseeing inventory and menu management.
* Organizing employee schedules.
* Ensuring that health, safety, and security rules are followed.
* Taking disciplinary action when necessary.
* Ensuring a consistent standard of customer service.
* Motivating employees and ensuring a focus on the mission.
* Maintaining stores to standards, including stocking and cleaning.
* Completing tasks assigned by the general manager accurately and efficiently.
*Assistant Manager Requirements:*
* High school or equivalent education level.
* Ability to handle stress with positivity and a calm demeanor.
* Stable work history and a background in decision making and problem solving.
* Must be self-motivated and possess the desire for self-development.
* Be a team player with a high standard of work ethic.
* Be dedicated to customer satisfaction and a great customer experience.
* Previous leadership experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
