Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Mechanics and repairers, general. Mechanic and repair technologies/technicians, other. Work site environment: Outdoors. Noisy. Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Order parts and maintain inventory. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Service attachments and working tools. Perform other routine maintenance. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T). Instrument experience: Mechanical. Diesel engine repair specialization: Engine control system. Major internal engine repairs or overhaul. Powered equipment repair specialization: Electric generators. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Brake system. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Medical exam. Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Willing to travel regularly. Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Manual dexterity. Overtime required. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Safety glasses/goggles. Gloves.
