Cara Chow Occupational Therapy is seeking a Rehabilitation Aide to assist with occupational therapy programming, specifically designed for children with special needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the occupational therapist to support small group programs, guide children through exercise routines, and help implement a high-intensity exercise program. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the facilitation of small group occupational therapy sessions. Guide and support children through tailored exercise programs. Actively participate in and model high-intensity exercise activities. Ensure a fun, safe, and engaging environment for all participants. Adapt programming to meet the diverse needs of children with special needs.Skills and Experience Required: Experience working with children with special needs in any capacity (e.g., educational assistant, childcare provider). Adaptable, energetic, and able to maintain a fun and engaging atmosphere. Physically fit and able to participate in and model exercise programs. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children. A passion for helping children achieve their developmental goals.Education and Training: Experience as an Educational Assistant, Childcare Provider, or as an Occupational or Physical Therapy Assistant. Relevant certifications or training in working with children or young adults is a plus. Criminal record check with vulnerable sector check will be required and must be completed in the last 6 monthsHours of Work: This is a contract position with up to 6 hours per week, with potential for increased hours based on performance and program needs.
