Sally?s Bar & Grill is looking for an experienced *Bartender/Server* to join our team that is willing to work on weeknights and weekends as needed to assist in the coverage of illnesses and vacations. Terms of Employment: Weeknights, Weekends, On-Call Salary: $ 15.00 Hourly plus Gratuities Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible. Education: Completion of High School Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): - ProServe: LIQUOR Staff Training - Reel Facts: VLT Staff Training - RCMP Criminal Check Experience: Experience is required Languages: English Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Point-of-sale system Work Setting: Bar, Grill, and VLTs Type of Bartending Experience: All beverages Specific Skills: - Organize and setup bar - Clean, sanitize, and maintain bar - Prepare garnishes - Inform customers regarding contents of alcoholic beverages - Describe and provide advice on menu items including daily specials - Operate point-of-sales system - Operate and Maintain Video Lottery Terminals (VLTS) and Operating System - Provide cash to customers with validated VLT receipts - Collect cash, credit/debit cards or other payment for beverages and food purchased - Maintain inventory and control of bar stock - Adhering to company and Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) standards for serving alcoholic beverages Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: - Weight handling up to 13.5kg (30 lbs) - Fast paced environment - Standing for extended periods of time Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation Security and Safety:- Criminal Record Check Essential Skills: -Writing -Communication -Team-working -Problem-solving -Math Job Types: Part-time, Casual Pay: $15.00 per hour Additional pay: * Tips Benefits: * Casual dress Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Night shift * On call * Weekends as needed Experience: * bartending: 2 years (required) * serving: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person- LocationHigh River, AB
