Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Lay out reference points and patterns. Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures. Weld or bolt sections together. Construct patterns and templates. Install fabricated components in final product. Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite. Welding techniques: MIG. Gas metal arc welding (GMAW). Equipment and machinery experience: Cutting torches. Drills. Grinder. Area of specialization: Structural metal or steel. Platework. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Are you willing to relocate for this position?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?.
