Posting Number: T24-364<p>Date Issued: September 17, 2024POSITION <p>Worksite: Learning Services / Various School<p>Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time<p>Assignment Area(s): Learning Services Relief Teachers (5 Positions) <p>Salary Range: $59,711 to $109,520 (range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance to the collective agreement)<p>Effective Date: Immediately until not later than May 23, 2025<p>Deadline for Applications: September 25, 2024 12:00 pm<p>Electronic Applications must be submitted through Make A Future www.makeafuture.ca and include a Cover Letter, Resume, Teaching Report, Transcripts & the names of 2 supervisors who can comment on your teaching.Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience: <p>Please Note: The Learning Services Relief Teachers will travel as a cohort, teaching classes of students while the regular classroom teachers collaborate on student learning. <p>valid BC professional teaching certificate (BCCT)<p>extensive academic training, professional preparation and qualifications in teaching in all areas of this assignment<p>knowledge of, and demonstrated application of the Ministry of Educations current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to multiple levels of instruction<p>demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and instruction at all grade levels<p>demonstrated ability to work closely with staff in a team-oriented approach to teaching with evidence of strong organizational, communication and classroom management skills<p>demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, impactful lessons<p>demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students and parents<p>demonstrated ability to be flexible and to adapt to a variety of classroom assignments, ranging from K to 12<p>demonstrated commitment to, and engagement in, ongoing professional development<p>demonstrated strong interpersonal and collaborative skills<p>applicants must possess a valid BC drivers license and have the use of a vehicleFor Further Information Contact: Shawna Petersen, District Principal of Leaning Services, or Sean Wicker, District Principal of Alternate Education.
