*About Us:*
Go Green Fibre is a leading recycling plant in Toronto, committed to sustainability and eco-friendly solutions. We specialize in recycling fibre-based materials and are seeking a skilled *Truck Mechanic* to maintain and service our fleet of recycling trucks.
*Position Overview:*
We are looking for an experienced Truck Mechanic to perform routine maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, and repair various trucks within our fleet. The ideal candidate will have expertise in heavy-duty vehicles, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for environmental sustainability.
*Responsibilities:*
* Perform regular maintenance on recycling trucks (e.g., engine tune-ups, oil changes, brake adjustments).
* Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other truck components.
* Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
* Work with hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
* Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
* Collaborate with the operations team to minimize vehicle downtime.
*Qualifications:*
* *Experience:* Minimum 3 years as a truck mechanic, preferably with heavy-duty trucks.
* *Education:* Trade certification as a truck and coach technician (310T) required. *Journeyman status* preferred.
* *Skills:*
* Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
* Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* *Licenses:* Valid driver's license (Class D or higher preferred).
*Compensation:*
* $25.00 - $39.54 per hour, depending on experience and journeyman status.
