*The opportunity:*
The University of Manitoba is looking for a Graphic Designer. This position will be responsible for the creation of visual communications for the Asper School of Business Marketing and Communications team and all units at the Asper School of Business.
The graphic designer will also be responsible for creating or incorporating illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the Asper School of Business brand and the desired theme and tone of the communications.
*The qualifications and experience we?re looking for:*
* Undergraduate degree is required.
* Digital design experience is required.
* GDC designation preferred.
* Diploma in Graphic Design or Visual Communications would be asset.
* Minimum of 1 year of directly related experience in a graphic design studio or agency, or as an independent contractor of design and layout
* An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
* Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign required.
* Proficiency with typography, illustrations, photo editing and designing multiple kinds of visual elements for web required.
* Creativity skills required.
* Flexibility skills required.
* Deadline-oriented with strong time-management skills required.
* Strong communication skills required.
* Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
