Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Wet/damp. Tasks: Direct rig crew in setting up rigs and drilling, completing or servicing oil and gas exploration and producing wells. Ensure safety procedures are followed. Maintain records of drilling and servicing operations. Operate controls of drill or service rig drilling and hoisting machinery. Train or arrange for training of crew. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Well Service Blowout Prevention Certificate. Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate. Area of specialization: Oil and gas well drilling and well servicing. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Drug test. Medical exam. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own vehicle. Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail.
