This position plays a key role in the development of digital and traditional marketing initiatives for YOUCAN Youth Services. YOUCAN provides pre-employment programs for youth between the ages of 18-25 and Relentless Youth Supports for young people involved in the criminal justice system. The Communications Specialist will be tasked with analyzing online user experience data, initiating digital projects, reporting on planned and current strategies, leading effective digital marketing strategies, and ensuring that projects are executed within budget. You will play a pivotal role in growing our business and brand and improving online user experience.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist in developing marketing campaign strategies for YOUCAN Youth Services, which would include increasing awareness around the Shopify online merch store.
* Update online analytics using various reports, such as Google Analytics, to generate an ROI and KPI?s on each campaign.
* Analyzing reports and results to improve all digital campaigns, both during and after the campaign has ended.
* Maximize online exposure through search engine marketing, display, online video, digital flyers, and other areas of online advertising; make recommendations for best practices of all available channels.
* Write ad copy for Google advertising and Facebook advertising campaigns
* Assist in scheduling, planning, executing, and tracking digital campaigns internally and with our outside vendors in various channels.
* Find ways to improve brand recognition based on goals, trends, and key metrics
* Provide administrative support to Fund Development team.
* Other duties may required to support the team during special events, etc.
*Qualifications*
* Post-Secondary Education in Marketing, Communications, or relevant work experience.
* Previous proven experience in digital marketing and campaign management.
* Min 2 years? experience running Google Ads, YouTube Advertising and Facebook Advertising campaigns
* Min 2 years? experience working in Google Analytics, and other ROI measurement tactics
* Proven success in running SEM, YouTube and Facebook Advertising campaigns.
* Strong analytical and decision-making skills
* Strong writing and research skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
* The ability and passion to pursue/explore new mediums to engage with.
* Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills
* Strong analytical and decision-making skills
* Ability to work with a team and under pressure with constant changes and deadlines
· Experience making Cold Calls an asset in this position, as there will be some fund development support
· Previous CRM or database use an asset
This position is primarily in office, but we would consider a hybrid schedule after 3 month probation period. Office hours are 830am to 430pm, Monday to Friday with some evening and weekend required during special events.
