Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting and possess strong administrative skills. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our daily operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our office.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing calendars
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks) to process invoices, payments, and expenses
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Assist with payroll processing and maintain employee records
- Prepare financial reports and assist with account reconciliation
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
- Provide support to other departments as required
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
