Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Tasks: Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record images. Monitor examination to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images, and make adjustments to equipment, as required. Record, store and process scanned images by using camera unit connected to the ultrasound equipment. Provide personnal asistance to patients during treatments. Check ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Registration. Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Area of specialization: Obstetrical and gynecological sonography. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Eligible for professional liability insurance. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Manual dexterity.
