*Job Overview*
Northern Vision Development is seeking a mature and dynamic supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department. The successful candidate is a dedicated, hands-on leader who takes ownership for the service and high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all guest rooms, public areas and facilities. The Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining a positive guest experience by ensuring rooms and facilities are consistently clean and welcoming.
*Key Responsibilities*
· Supervise and coordinate the housekeeping staff to ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and up to the company's quality standards.
· Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and identify any maintenance needs.
· Train, mentor, and develop housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.
· Manage housekeeping schedules and adjust staffing levels based on occupancy and workload demands.
· Ensure timely and accurate completion of room cleaning, laundry services, and any special cleaning projects.
· Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and report any shortages or needs to management.
· Address and resolve guest complaints related to housekeeping services, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.
*· *Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to meet operational needs and enhance the guest experience.
*Experience & Qualifications*
* *Experience:* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a housekeeping role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
* *Education:* High school diploma or equivalent; additional education, training or certifications in hospitality or housekeeping management is an asset.
*· Leadership: *Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and train a team.
*· Attention to Detail: *High level of attention to cleanliness, sanitation standards, and quality control to ensure operational excellence.
*· Communication: *Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, management, and guests.
*· Problem-Solving: *Ability to address and resolve guest concerns and operational issues quickly and efficiently.
*· Time Management: *Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and adjust schedules based on operational needs.
· *Guest Focus:* A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, with the ability to anticipate guest needs, address concerns, and create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the guest experience.
*Salary: $24.00/hour *

*Work Location: *This position is based in person in Whitehorse, Yukon.
*Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, *40 hours per week. May occasionally need to be flexible for evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
*Physical Demands:* Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
