Cool Air Rentals has an immediate opening for an outgoing, enthusiastic HVAC Mechanic to fill a full-time permanent position in our Calgary office
*Gasfitter Class A certification is a requirement for this position.*
*HVAC Mechanic:*
As an HVAC Mechanic at Cool Air Rentals, you will be responsible for providing installation services and the repair, maintenance, manufacture and upgrade of our temporary heating and cooling equipment. Our cooling line ranges from 1 ton to 65-ton air conditioning units and 2 ton to 400-ton chillers, while our heating line ranges from 6kW electric heaters to 1.8MM BTU hydronic central heating units!
*Primary Duties and Responsibilities:*
In the shop
* Preparing, testing and loading of equipment as it is readied for projects.
* Assist with equipment return through the cleaning, testing, and tagging process to ensure its return to active rental status.
* Maintaining an organized work space and conducting repairs and upgrades to equipment professionally and safely.
* Providing mentorship and oversight to Apprentice HVAC Mechanics on projects. contacting the customer and arrange timing and review the project to confirm the customer?s expectations align.
* The loading, delivery, installation, and removal of temporary cooling and heating equipment and accessories.
* Representing Cool Air in a confident, professional manner at all times.
* Directing the setup of all equipment in a safe, effective and organized manner.
* Returning the job site to its original condition on completion of work.
* Leading the removal of equipment and transport back to our shop at the end of the rental period.
*Qualifications:*
Knowledge, skills and abilities
* Journeymen HVAC Mechanic with Gasfitter Class A certification.
* Strong troubleshooting skills in person and over the phone.
* Fluency in English is required for both verbal and written communication.
* Proficiency with hand and power tools required.
* Class 5 drivers license with a clean driving record for at least 3 years.
