This position is for the Cumberland Regional Health Centre in Amherst, NS DUTIES:Provide exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries from the publicMonitor entraces and ensure all vistors are following Public Health guidelinesPatrol client properties by foot to prevent unauthorized entry and politely direct disruptive individuals to leave the premisesProvide specialized security services and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholdersFollow and enforce rules, regulations, policies and proceduresRespond to and report irregularities, security breaches, hazards and emergenciesUtilize radios, handheld devices and computer applications to communicate site activityWrite clear and comprehensive reports including daily activity reports and incident reportsREQUIREMENTS:Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, professional demeanor and deportmentAbility to solve problems, make decisions and respond to emergencies under pressureDiscretion when handling confidential and private informationPhysical ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of timeHigh school diploma or equivalent and of legal age YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:Provide exceptional customer service, with an exceptional smile.Are comfortable standing for long periods of time. Hold a valid First Aid/CPR certification or are willing to obtain one prior to getting hired. We take safety seriously, and we know you do too.Are eligible to work in Canada. Have prior experience working in Security.All our Officers are required to carry a valid Nova Scotia Security License. We also provide the Basic Security Training.
