RESEARCH ANALYST <p>Salary Range - $75,512<p>- $94,391 per year<p>1.0 FTE Permanent<p>Applications are<p>encouraged from qualified applicants of Indigenous descent with a strong<p>commitment to Indigenous Education (in accordance with section 24.1a of the<p>Ontario Human Rights Code). <p> <p>The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking qualified applicants<p>for the position of Research Analyst within the Research and Decision Support<p>Department supporting Indigenous education programming, initiatives and<p>research. The location for this position<p>is the Education Centre in Midhurst, Ontario. Reporting to the Manager<p>of Research and Decision support,<p>the successful candidate will be responsible for<p>providing research and analyses to support board and school improvement<p>planning, board strategic directions, provincial accountability requirements,<p>the development, evaluation and modification of board programs and services;<p>all tasks inclusive of a concentrated focus within Indigenous education including<p>work on special projects and research exploring data<p>and outcomes for Indigenous learners. This position will be an integral part of the research team to meet<p>the goals of the Operational plan in support of the SCDSB strategic priorities.<p> <p>Qualifications, Pertinent Skills and Experience: <p>· <p>A university undergraduate degree in Psychology, Sociology, or equivalent;<p>· <p>Experience with qualitative and quantitative research<p>methodology, analysis, and reporting;<p>· <p>Three (3) years<p>related employment experience preferably within public<p>sector research and analytics;<p>· <p>Excellent skills using Microsoft Power BI, SPSS (syntax),<p>survey development software, familiarity with GIS preferred;<p>· <p>Previous experience demonstrating a high level<p>of attention to detail working with data;<p>· <p>Advanced skills using MS Office (Excel and<p>Word) including creativity in presenting findings<p>using MS Office PowerPoint or additional data visualization software;<p> Demonstrated<p>capacity to work<p>in a highly collaborative and professional working environment;<p>· <p>Excellent organizational,<p>time management, and communication<p>skills; <p>· <p>A commitment to life-long learning<p>in the field of educational and/or Indigenous research;<p>· <p>Ability to adapt<p>quickly to a dynamic, evolving<p>environment and continuous changes in research<p>and associated technology;<p>· <p>Ability to work independently<p>and follow data collection and analysis workflow protocols;<p>· <p>Other duties as assigned.<p> <p>Preferred<p>Skills: <p>· <p>Post-graduate certification<p>specializing in data management and analysis; <p>· <p>Advanced skills in using Microsoft<p>Power BI, SPSS (syntax), and one or more programming or coding languages; <p>· <p>Expert presentation skills with<p>PowerPoint or innovative data visualization software. <p> <p>TESTING<p>MAY BE REQUIRED DURING THE SELECTION PROCESS. <p>This<p>position is a permanent full-time position. The regular work year for this<p>position is twelve (12) months of the year. The compensation range for this<p>twelve (12) month position is $75,512 to $94,391 per year, depending on<p>qualifications and experience.
