Assistant Manager Lagom Design Shop
Location: 172 Mill St.
Responsibilities:
Sales
Collaborate with the Store Manager develop plans to meet and exceed sales targets and improve store performance.
* Demonstrate excellent sales skills
* Maintain high level of product knowledge, POS (Shopify), Transaction processing
* Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and driving sales through proactive engagement with customers. Resolve complaints and help team with challenging orders and transactions
* Work with manager to handle special orders, track orders and communicate with customers
Team Leadership
* Strong supervisory skills - Oversee all full-time and part time staff at Lagom 172 - ensure schedules are adhered to, train on products and create daily tasks
* Train and develop staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards.
* Assist in creating a training program for new team members.
* Assist in conducting and organizing staff meetings with team.
* Contribute to the recruitment and onboarding process of new team members.
Overall Store Management
* Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth functioning of the store.
* Participate in weekly store managers meeting
* Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management, including receiving, replenishment, and merchandising.
* Purchasing: Create orders with suppliers, communicate with suppliers on pricing, freight costs and seek approval from Manager, organize payment and track order
* Ensure that store displays are optimized for increased sales performance (prices on everything, POS signs/information when needed, displays are current)
* Assist manager with marketing initiatives that include social media content, advertising, events, emails marketing and website improvements.
* Maintain a visually appealing, clean, tidy and inviting store environment.
* Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and dress code.
* Collaborate with team on with Employee Handbook
* Co-manage yearly inventory process including organizing team counts, and updating POS.
Bonus:
A yearly bonus will be rewarded based on both store and personal performance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$23.47 per hour
Expected hours: 37 per week
