We offer a variety of services mainly focused on Roll-Off bins and operating a waste and recycling centers in Saanichton, and Cobble Hill (Fisher Road). Salary: $70000 - $90000/year - based on experience
· Respond to all new or current customer inquiries and finalize sales. This may include arranging deliveries, exchanges, hot loads and pickups to meet customer expectations.
· Dispatch trucks by phone and dispatching software (CRO) by effectively assigning customer and facility requests.
· Set up dispatching for the following day by prioritizing and understanding the needs of the business, including Fisher Road Recycling (FRR) and determining what materials are required to be hauled from the Oldfield yard.
· Communicate daily schedules and individual driver assignments.
· Manage drivers schedules for special delivery requirements and employee absences, re-allocating when required.
· Identify and communicate any improvements to dispatching and bin tracking systems.
· Effective communication with all facilities including but not limited to the Office and FRR to move trucks and materials as required.
· Communicate and partner effectively with Yard Supervisor to ensure dispatching and trucks are organized each morning prior to the start of the workday.
· Assist the drivers as necessary to use the CRO software efficiently.
· Ensure that all required driver paperwork is completed correctly and submitted to dispatch on time.
· Utilize CRO software to administer reports regarding deployed assets.
· Assist entering fuel usage into CRO and Accounting software.
· Ensure trucks are being maintained as per company expectations and all equipment is handled with due care and attention.
· Receive shipments ensuring all packing slips and shipping documents are delivered to the main office daily.
· Review and audit all job slips before submitting to billing department.
· Ensure all safety requirements are followed.
· Manage employee daily tasks
· Report any performance concerns, (ie: inappropriate behavior, repeated reporting discrepancies, repeated absences, etc) to Logistics/Transportation Manager.
· Organize dirty drywall trailer. Order WM Trailer
· Organize clean drywall to be transported to Vancouver.
· Monitor and maintain site and dispatch office cleanliness.
· Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) ? Safety vest and CSA approved footwear is always required. Hard hat must be available when required.
· Assist Logistics /Transportation Manager and/or other managers as required.
· Any other duties as assigned.
