Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Monitor staff performance . Recruit staff. Set staff work schedules. Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies. Schedule staff. Plan and control budget and inventory. Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards. Consult with suppliers. Assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants. Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations. Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
