Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Construction site. Tasks: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs. Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse. Perform safety and security checks. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Work with minimal supervision. Prepare floors for installations. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Install door, window and other hardware. Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets. Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings. Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting. Install interior prefabricated products. Supervision: Kitchen cupboard and vanity installers. Equipment and machinery experience: Saws. Roller painting. Knives. Nail guns. Surface preparation experience: Drywall taping/patching. Equipment: Polishing machines. Waxing machine. Power tools. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Dependability.
