Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Repairs: Repair damaged vehicles using technical information sheets and follow Advanced Process Solutions (APS) according to repair orders. Decision Making: Make repair or replace decisions based on safety, costs, and cycle time. Accessing Vehicle Components: Remove upholstery and trim to access vehicle parts for repairs. Mechanical Work: Perform structural repairs, airbag replacements, and other mechanical tasks. Welding and Finishing: Execute various types of sheet metal welding and metal finishing techniques. Surface Preparation: Use power and hand tools to file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces. Collaboration: Communicate vehicle repair status with the Production Manager and Estimators. Safety and Organization: Utilize safety equipment, maintain an organized work area, and adhere to hazardous waste disposal regulations. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, and repetitive motions. Work Environment: Work involves exposure to paint, fumes, dust, chemicals, varying temperatures, and noise.
