Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work site environment: At heights. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Inspect operation of instruments and systems. Repair and adjust system components. Complete test and maintenance reports. Remove and replace defective parts. Calibrate components and instruments. Logical approach for troubleshooting. Determine testing and maintenance procedures. Install new measuring instruments. Coach and instruct apprentices. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Industrial Instrument Mechanic Trade Certification. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. First Aid Certificate. Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate. Type of industry experience: Industrial instruments servicing. Petroleum, coal and gas products. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear. Steel-toed safety boots. Safety glasses/goggles. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?.
