RVS encourages applications from individuals who can help shape and embody our core values of Leadership, People, Community and Innovation, and support our vision that RVS is a world-class learning organization where all students achieve their absolute best. <p>The Opportunity <p>RVS invites applications for three term, full-time (35 hours/week)<p>Success Coach(es) positions to work a 10-month school calendar schedule commencing immediately. The Success Coach works under the<p>direction of the Stepping Stones Project Coordinator and in collaboration with<p>school administration, guidance department staff and community partners. The<p>Success Coach provides universal and targeted programming to the entire school<p>community in order to promote mental health and well-being, as well as to<p>increase knowledge and resiliency. The successful candidate will have a valid<p>Alberta Class 5 Motor Vehicle Operators License and access to a reliable<p>vehicle as travel is required. This position will work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.<p>Responsibilities Include <p><p> Provides<p> Universal Programming: Mental Health and Wellness Promotion to the entire<p> school population and the community<p> Strengthens<p> and promotes relationships by empowering and nurturing attachments between<p> youth, their school and their natural support systems in collaboration<p> with school staff<p> Demonstrates<p> coping behaviours, knowledge and skills that assist children and youth to<p> make positive choices<p> Establishes<p> effective mentorship opportunities for adults who interact with children<p> and youth<p> Assists<p> schools in the development and delivery of proactive and preventative<p> universal, targeted and specialized programming in the areas of mental<p> health promotion, healthy living, positive life choices, cultural identity<p> and positive social environments by facilitating a creative exchange of ideas<p> and participating in their implementation<p> Provides<p> mentorship to programs that focus on mental health awareness and promotion<p> in collaboration with school staff and community partners<p> Supports<p> others who establish positive relationships through role modeling,<p> mentoring and providing opportunities for healthy peer interaction<p> Advances<p> an integrated approach to promoting mental health and preventing mental<p> illness among community partners, government, schools and industry<p> Builds<p> capacity by increasing awareness and skills related to optimal mental<p> health by facilitating discussions and providing resource materials for<p> all members of schools and wider community<p> Establishes<p> and maintains positive relationships and collaborative partnerships with<p> community agencies<p> Connects<p> youth to beneficial, affordable and sustainable community resources to<p> increase networks of support through promoting collaboration with other<p> agencies<p><p>Education/Experience <p><p> Bachelors degree in a human<p> services field<p> Two or more years providing<p> programming for youth<p> Experience in a<p> school setting would be considered an asset<p><p>Rocky View Schools Benefits <p><p> 6% Vacation Pay<p> Benefits Plan (Extended health, Dental, Wellness & Health Spending Account, Tax Free Savings Account a
