Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Metal product fabrication industry. Tasks: Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications. Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products. Document work completed. Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Equipment and machinery experience: Drills. Micrometers. Saws. Tool and die fabrication experience: Metal cutting, forming or bending dies. Metal forming or shaping operations experience: Bending. Forming. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility. Judgement. Organized. Team player.
