We are currently seeking a skilled Corporate Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee all financial aspects of our business and play a key role in shaping the company's financial strategy.
*Responsibilities:*
* Lead on providing monthly accurate financial statements in a timely manner.
* Extensive analysis detailing anomalies from budget and recommendations to management on how to rectify.
* Controller will be responsible for team of Accounting Staff.
* Procedure and policy improvements will be a key requirement of the role.
* The Controller will support the CFO with numerous reporting & analytical requests.
* The Controller will be responsible for developing, disseminating and monitoring the internal controls as we continue to grow our business overall.
* They will be engrained in internal processes and workflow looking for operational efficiencies at every opportunity.
* Identify cost savings opportunities and present recommendation to management.
* Execute recommendation in a timely fashion utilizing resources and teams as required.
*Qualifications:*
* Extremely keen to learn as the organization is quickly growing.
* Able to adapt/pivot and focus on many areas of the business.
* 3-4 years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience for a growing organization.
* Background in continuous business process improvement considered an asset.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many tugging priorities.
* Time management skills are extremely important.
* Experience in a robust Software environment and utilizing tools extremely effectively.
* Software implementation skills definitely considered an asset.

*From a technical perspective the requirements will be as follows:*
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
* Approve invoices.
* Maintain chart of accounts.
* Manage external audits.
* Develop and monitor internal controls and company policies.
* Debt management and collection.
* Compliance with legal, financial and tax regulation.
* Internal financial reporting and analysis.
* Support to Payroll processing function.
* Day-to-day management of accounting staff.
* Primary user contact for accounting technology systems.
* Supervise bank reconciliations.
* External reporting, including tax and GAAP financial statements.
The Controller will report directly to the CFO.
The role will support the CFO through the annual budgeting process and support operational and departmental budget preparations as needed.
