CLERICAL RELIEF POSITIONS <p>AVAILABILITY: ON-CALL RELIEF (0-35 HOURS PER WEEK)<p>WAGE RATE : $24.68 - $26.74 PER HOUR, as of July 1/2024 (plus: 5% of bi-weekly earnings in lieu of vacation and 4.6% of straight time earnings in each pay period in lieu of statutory holidays)<p>After successfully completing a probationary period and attaining seniority, Casual Clericals working on call will receive 10% in lieu of benefits when working 17.5 hours or more per week. <p><p>DURATION: 10 MONTHS<p><p>ABOUT US: Central Okanagan Public Schools provides education services to 24,000 students with over 3,600 employees and 47 schools sites in the communities of Peachland, West Kelowna, Kelowna, Lake Country and Oyama.<p>Central Okanagan Public Schools is a progressive leader in education where students learn in a safe, inclusive, equitable, and inspirational learning environment and develop the attributes and competencies to flourish in a global community. A rewarding career with Okanagan Public Schools is within your reach - we want to hear from you! <p> POSITION SUMMARY: <p><p> Process and circulate resources in the library, take inventory, perform clerical/receptionist and word processing duties and monitor students; <p> accurately and efficiently utilize word processing, spreadsheet, database and communications software.<p><p>QUALIFICATIONS: <p><p> Successful<p> completion of Grade 12;<p> Successful<p> completion of a six month post-secondary program in Office/Business<p> Administration<p> <p> One (1) year recent successful experience in an office administration position (bookkeeping/accounting experience an asset);<p> Minimum net keyboarding speed 50 wpm;<p> Proven intermediate to advanced computer skills to accurately and efficiently utilize word processing, spreadsheet, database and communications software;<p> Ability to organize and prioritize a wide range of duties effectively and efficiently, and to work accurately under pressure at a high level of quality with constant disruptions;<p> Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, employees, and the public;<p> Demonstrated ability to work at the level of independence and with the degree of initiative appropriate to the position.<p><p>Please note, there is no guarantee of work each day, as work volume fluctuates throughout the school year.
