<p>The Trillium Lakelands District School Board invites applications for a<p>TEMPORARY PART-TIME MAINTENANCE III POSITION (Electrician) <p>at<p>BRACEBRIDGE FACILITY SERVICES BUILDING Trillium Lakelands District School Board requires a temporary part-time Electrician effective immediately, for an indefinite period of time. This position is responsible to the Area Maintenance Supervisor, assisting with the maintenance of school buildings and related equipment in the Haliburton Area.Duties of the position include: Maintenance and repair to building electrical components;<p>Working as a member of a team to apply skills and knowledge to maintain Board facilities and equipment in a functional, safe condition.<p>Complete new installations, renovations/repairs on existing systems including but not limited to door hardware and lock systems, water treatment systems, plumbing fixtures and components, pump rebuild and replacement, ventilation and heating equipment and carpentry repairs.<p>Troubleshoot, adjust and repair building components and equipment.<p>Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems.<p>Qualifications Required: Secondary School graduation plus additional three-year diploma program equivalent apprentice program;<p>Must hold an Electrical-Construction Maintenance licence, valid in the Province of Ontario;<p>Over three (3) years work experience in the building construction industry in the Electrical trade area<p>Ability to demonstrate a mechanical aptitude with analytical and problem-solving skills.<p>Ability to read blueprints including architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings.<p>Experience in making minor/major installations and repairs to buildings and components. <p>Ability to work independently and as a member of a crew, and to set priorities and manage workload.<p>Ability to repair and maintain equipment.<p>Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written orders. <p>Effective oral and written communication skills.<p>Knowledge of computer applications appropriate with the duties.<p>Current and thorough knowledge of related standards, practices, regulations codes and methods including WHMIS, Lockout-Tagout, Working at Heights, Hot Works, Asbestos Awareness/Abatement and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.<p>Hold a valid drivers licence.<p>Must be physically fit to perform the duties required.<p>HOURS OF WORK: 16 hours per week, schedule to be confirmed (day shift) HOURLY WAGE: $40.53 per hour to start (min) - $48.97 per hour (max)<p>POINT BAND: 14 <p>If the successful candidate possesses two (2) or more trade tickets and can provide proof of such trade ticket (s) and they are recognized as one listed in the Collective Agreement, they will receive an hourly premium of $5.76.Interested applicants should submit a detailed resume outlining qualifications and experience by Friday October 11, 2024 @ 4:00 p.m. to the Human Resources Services Staffing Officer for Support Staff by clicking on the link below:Your application package must be submitted in either .pdf or .docx format.
