Job details
We are seeking an *ambitious and professional Sous Chef* capable of leading the line mainly during weekend brunch, but also during the busy lunch and slower dinner services. The starting salary includes *health benefits and bonuses*.
The successful candidate is someone who can *be a strong support *to the Executive Chef and possess *strong communication and organizational skills*. The *Sous Chef* will play a key role in supporting the restaurant's vision for consistent, high-quality food and ensuring that it is delivered in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.
The successful candidate will be *responsible for brunch service!! *They will also have the opportunity to *showcase their creative culinary skills* by periodically developing dishes for the brunch and lunch menus.
Experience with French, Italian, *Mediterranean* cuisine is an asset.
*REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES*
* Overseeing prep execution and all other aspects of daily kitchen operation
* Assisting with cross-training line and prep cooks
* Work as a team with the Executive Chef and FOH management to properly prepare for daily service
* Following standard operating procedures for ordering, delivery intake, cleaning and other BOH duties
*SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS*
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
* Excellent attention to detail with a creative flair
* Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings, and nights
* Must be energetic with a passion for food and a positive attitude
* Must be able to clearly give oral and written instructions
* Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism and leadership (i.e., punctuality, commitment to the job, well-groomed, mannerly, great teamwork etc.)
* Long periods of standing and walking are required
