Support Staff Association Members will be considered prior to external applications. <p>The Officer, Finance Payroll, provides support and audit function of payroll internal controls and processes, develops, and analyzes data and reports, and ensures payroll is processed in compliance with statutory regulations and collective agreement requirements. This role assists in providing training and support to payroll staff, Board staff, and school staff and also support project management for system updates, patches, and enhancements.<p>Qualifications: Completion of post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting or Commerce<p> Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification<p> Minimum of four years of progressive work experience in payroll and HRIS Demonstrated skills and proficient usage of MS Office (in particular Excel, One Note, Planner and Word) Ability to compile and analyze payroll data for processing and reporting<p> Demonstrated organizational, mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills<p> Working knowledge of Payroll Legislation pertaining to Canada Revenue Agency and The Employment Standards Act<p> Experience with Pension Plan administration would be an asset<p> Ability to analyze, interpret and execute complex provisions inherent to numerous contractual and Labor agreements<p> Strong customer service skills<p> Must be able to deal in a confidential and discreet manner with both employees and outside agencies<p> Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results in a dynamitic environment Capable of accurate and detailed work under pressure while adhering to stringent timelines The board is seeking candidates who demonstrate the following Core Competencies:<p>Communication <p>Shares and receives information and ideas in a variety of ways and adapts to the needs of the audience to ensure the message is understood.<p>Innovation <p>Creates, develops and implements new processes or services with the aim of improving the learning community for all.<p>Interpersonal Relations <p>Displays characteristics and personal attributes that enhance communication and interactions.
