Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements. Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings. Participate in field surveys, inspections or technical investigations. Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates. Prepare engineering designs and drawings. Prepare project schedules. Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations and testing of construction materials. Provide consultation services to government and other organizations. Computer and technology knowledge: CAE - computer-aided engineering. 3D graphic software. AutoCAD. MS Excel. MS PowerPoint. MS Word. Autodesk REVIT. Civil engineering experience: Buildings and structures. Drainage and irrigation system. Pipelines. Sewers and sewage treatment facilities. Water control system and structures. Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Area of specialization: Construction design and supervision. Water resources.
