Library Technician - St. Philip<p>COMP # 3844534<p>C.U.P.E. 2357 (10 month, Level 5) <p>Part time 0.50 FTE<p>Under the direction of the Principal, the Library Technician: <p> Operates the school Learning Commons and provides services in an automated/digital environment to meet the needs of staff and students <p> Promotes authors, books, literacy, technology and holds special events <p> Performs administrative functions associated with the Learning Commons and/or school <p> Coordinates volunteers activities <p> Performs other duties, as assigned by the supervisor<p>Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: <p> Degree/diploma in relevant field (i.e. Library Technician, Information Science, etc) <p> 2 years of related experience <p> Expertise with Insignia (or similar library software systems), Google Suite, computer hardware and software, mobile technology, various AV equipment <p> Comfortable learning and promoting new technologies (3D printing, robotics, coding, cricut, etc.) <p> Positive team player and ability to work independently as well <p> Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills <p> Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered <p> The use of a personal vehicle may be required<p>This is a 0.50 FTE permanent 10 month position with an hourly rate of $30.63.
