Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Tasks: Examine logs and rough lumber to decide best lumber cuts. Saw, trim and plane rough lumber into dressed lumber of various sizes. Monitor logs and lumber movement to ensure cuts are made according to specifications. Set up and adjust saw equipment. Clean and lubricate sawmill equipment. Start up or shut down process equipment. Prepare production reports. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination.
