Exceptional Minds Adaptive Learning Services Inc. is looking to hire a Speech-Language Pathologist to work with children with ASD and work collaboratively with our ABA team. This is an independent contractor position with part-time hours to start, with the opportunity to increase hours and clientele base. We offer ABA training for the right candidate as well as a dedicated room at our centre to work with clients. The Speech-Language Pathologist will be part of an ABA team that supports the assessment and treatment of speech, language and communication needs of our clients. All client sessions will be in-centre. *Key Responsibilities:* * Deliver speech and language assessment and intervention for clients with ASD * Manage and contribute to the quality of care to clients by following the professional standards of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists * Support client families by providing SLP sessions as well as providing resources and training to parents/caregivers that will support the on-going development of communication skills at home * Maintain regular contact with client?s families and keep them informed of treatment plans * Maintain on-going communication with ABA team members on updates/progress/goals *Qualifications:* * Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology * Experience working with children with special needs is preferred * Excellent communication, written and verbal skills * Experience with providing parent/caregiver coaching * Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) in good standing * Team player Job Type: Part-time Pay: $80.00-$125.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 ? 25 per week Schedule: * Evening shift * Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: * Mississauga, ON L5N 5M4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: * Master's Degree (required) Language: * English as your first language (required) Location: * Mississauga, ON L5N 5M4 (preferred) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2023-08-18 Expected start date: 2024-11-18- LocationMississauga, ON
