(The Company).? . The Grain Inspector inspects and grades all classes of incoming ingredients ? at the manufacturing plants, and also monitors the? storage, handling, and transportation of such ingredients to ensure that sanitary procedures are followed.The Grain Inspector is also responsible for reporting on finished product (LinPRO-24, LinPRO-Plus etc) quality testing during the manufacturing process as well as on finished load basis.? Finished product must meet the Nutritional Specifications as guaranteed by the Company on product labels.? The Grain Inspector will report deviances, trends and issues to appropriate staff, as well as assist manufacturing staff in meeting targets when appropriate.?The Grain Inspector may also assist the Quality Assurance Manager with any projects that may happen from time to time.Success in this position includes the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively across the entire company.?Embark on your O&T Farms journey, and together, let?s redefine the future of nutritious animal feed and healthier food!ResponsibilitiesGrade all incoming ingredients ?(ex. whole and ground pulses, flax, canola, wheat), based on the sample?s ability to meet tolerances for various grading factors, Grading is conducted following the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) guide, as well as Company specific factors that are included in their published Ingredient Specification.Samples provided by possible customers are also graded.Logging, organizing, storing, and disposing of incoming samples after final inspections.Communicating incoming ingredient results with Procurement Manager and Quality Manager.Logging, organizing, storing and disposing of finished product samples at appropriate times.Communication finished product results with the Director of Operations, Plant Managers, Lead Hands as well as Quality Assurance Manager.?Providing support at manufacturing plants as needed, including assistance with blending, grinding or mixing to meet target specifications of finished product.?Gathering data, or samples, as requested by Quality Assurance Manager for specific projects.Operating, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment (ex. moisture meter, scales, dockage tester, FOSS). Diagnostics of machinery when needed.Maintaining/monito
