Pacific Academy is inviting applications from qualified individuals for a full-time temporary position as a Grade 6 Teacher in the Middle School. This position is to cover a maternity leave from January 2025 to June 20, 2025.About Pacific Academy: <p>Pacific Academy is a Pentecostal Christian school dedicated to providing a Christ-centered education. We emphasize academic excellence, character development, and spiritual growth in a supportive community environment.Qualifications: <p>Successful candidates should: Hold a valid British Columbia teaching certificate<p> Possess an understanding of and commitment to Christian Education<p> Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith<p> Be fluent in oral and written English<p> Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively, and be willing to cooperate in the planning and implementation of project based units with the grade team<p> Have experience or willingness to participate in outdoor education planning and trips (i.e. Hiking, canoeing, snowshoeing)<p> Teaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to, grade level core subjects (Faith and Learning, Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Social Studies) <p>Potential candidates should download and submit a completed Teacher Application Package, along with a cover letter and resume to careers@mypacificacademy.net.
