Job details
Reporting to the Fabrication Shop Foreman, you will * Operate and set up various welding equipment * Operating equipment according to established procedures * Able to troubleshoot minor problems with fixtures or tooling * Check own parts against blue print drawings in various stages of production * Identify irregularities in parts and non conformance to quality standards * Read and interpret drawings or welding process specifications * Perform welding processes using established Canadian Welding Bureau/TSSA or customer procedures Requirements: * Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent is an asset * Canadian Welding Bureau Certified and/or TSSA Certificate of Qualification * Prior experience in FCAW, vertical or all position CWB ticket * Prior experience in GMAW Aluminum welding * Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset * Must have good time management, problem-solving skills, initiative and a commitment to tasks * Basic mathematical skills and the ability to communicate clearly * Interpret drawings and accurately read various measuring tools * Must have good time management, problem-solving skills, initiative and a commitment to tasks * Prior experience working to quality standards and inspection * Comprehension of weld symbols * Meticulous attention to detail * Ability to work independently Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: * Disability insurance * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Life insurance * RRSP match Schedule: * 10 hour shift * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Night shift Licence/Certification: * CWB FCAW Ticket (preferred) * CWB GMAW Aluminum Ticket (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationKingston, ON
