We offer an attractive remuneration package including health and RRSP benefits. *Summary* The CRU Planner creates an environment for construction execution excellence. They are constantly looking for opportunities to improve the delivery and customer experience of CRU substation construction projects. The CRU Planner is also a subject matter expert and thus responsible for the estimation and outage planning of the AltaLink Stations CRU program. The CRU Planner needs to work closely with the Stations Construction Manager, Construction Operations Supervisors and Project Management to ensure all projects are properly evaluated, estimated and planned. *Qualifications* * PSE designation is mandatory. * Current AML switching and isolation certifications are required. * AltaLink work leader training is considered an asset to complete site assessments * AltaLink isolating & grounding substation equipment training is an asset * Developing & reviewing grounding plans is also considered an asset for outage execution planning * 10+ years of Substation Construction experience. * Extensive and broad high voltage construction experience. *Skills* * Detailed knowledge of AltaLink operating procedures as it relates to Substation Construction and isolations. * Superior construction execution planning skills. * Proficient with computer software such as excel and word. *Duties* * Develop technical and strategic project outage plans in conjunction with project estimates for successful project execution. * Work with operations leaders to develop construction execution plans that align with estimates. * Perform site visits to assess construction requirements for estimation, outage planning and execution. * Develop outage plans and staging for all CRU work scopes included but not limited to Construction Isolation?s, Guarantee of Isolation?s and SCADA Change Notice?s. * Assist with AltaLink EPC project outage and acceptance planning. * Work with Project and Quality management on the submission of project acceptance plans to AltaLink. * Work with AltaLink outage schedulers to develop switch orders * Cover for Construction Operations Supervisors when they have scheduled leave during a project. * Perform switching duties when required to assist the project * Receive Guarantee of Isolations and perform second checks as required on the project *Personal Characteristics* * Safety - We go home safely every night. * Integrity - Around here our word means something. * Quality - Our quality stands on its own. * Accountability- We provide solutions, not problems. * Teamwork - Great people working together. * Not afraid to approach difficult situations and dig in to find a solution. * Self-motivated to make improvements and get tasks done on time. * You have a calm demeanor and thrive in high-stress situations.
