Town of Rocky Mountain House Finance ManagerOrganizationTown of Rocky Mountain HouseClosing dateDec 6, 2024Job DescriptionThe Town is seeking an energetic, dynamic individual for the position of Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be strongly devoted to public service, team-orientated, innovative and results-driven. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of the Town's financial system including maintenance and operation of the Town's municipal accounting software and the supervision of finance staff. This includes preparation of financial reporting, assisting with the year-end audit and budgeting, staff supervision and compliance with legislative requirements.You will be working in a vibrant community of 6,800 at the doorstep to the Rocky Mountains and outdoor adventure. As a key player in our team you will have or willing to achieve the following qualifications:Experience in Municipal operations is required. Accounting designation or equivalent experience is required. Post-Secondary education in business or accounting is required. 3-5 years of Management experience is required. Experience with an accounting firm conducting year ends and audits is an asset. Knowledge & experience with large system financial software is an asset, specifically Diamond Municipal Software, Caseware & Questica Strong computer skills in excel and word are required.
