We create communities ? the kind of desirable places that people are proud to own, proud to live in, and proud to call home. *Key Responsibilities* * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems. * Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors. * Install, repair and maintain commercial and residential plumbing fixtures and systems. * Test facilities for leaks. * Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc. * Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc. * Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.). * Ensure that local and provincial safety regulations are met. * Provide guidance and supervision to apprentices and other maintenance workers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. * Other related duties, as assigned. *Skills and Qualifications* * Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship. * Proven Plumbing experience. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Good communication skills, both oral and written. * Ability to work together as part of a team alongside other technicians (e.g. electricians, engineers). * Excellent customer service skills. * Strong attention to detail and precision. * Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy objects. * Great communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. * Valid license to practice profession. *Work Environment and Physical Requirements* * Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various environments and weather conditions. * Exposure to loud noises, hazardous materials, and confined spaces. * Use of protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and masks may be required. * Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods. * Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs). * Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
