Our commitment to providing quality products and exceptional customer service is at the core of our success. *Position Overview * As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up our retail store showcase and ensuring it meets our customers' expectations. We?re seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented individual who can work independently and deliver excellence daily. The position requires a 5-day work week, including weekends, with shifts starting at 6:30 AM. *Key Responsibilities:* * Setting up the retail showcase before store opening * Working independently with attention to detail and knowledge of FIFO (First In, First Out) * Using or willingness to learn how to properly use a seafood saw for cutting * Assisting customers with inquiries, packing orders, answering phones, and handling product requests * Managing cash transactions efficiently * Adhering to cleaning guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) * Serving customers from the showcase when required * Ensuring strict adherence to food safety practices, including hand hygiene and FIFO standards *Qualifications:* * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. * Willingness to be trained in the proper handling and cutting of seafood. * Customer service experience is an asset. * Understanding of food safety guidelines and willingness to follow cleaning procedures. *Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:* * Ability to stand for extended periods. * Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as required. * Comfortable working in cold environments. * Handling of various seafood products is required. *How to Apply: * Please submit your application by visiting our careers portal at the link below: *Careers Portal: *https://can242.dayforcehcm.com/CandidatePortal/en-US/ppg2277/Site/FMIIClientSite/Posting/View/44 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 ? 45 per week Additional pay: * Commission pay Benefits: * Discounted or free food * On-site parking * Store discount Work Location: In person- LocationHalifax, NS
